2. Get to know what your clients want and need
Asking clients open-ended questions (i.e. not yes/no questions) about what they do in a typical day, their profession, what their plans are for the next few weeks, will help you to understand more clearly, what they essentially will need from their nail treatment. Will they be needing their toes done too, as they’re going on holiday to a hot country next week? Would they prefer to try some nail art, as you want to really impress your date? These little, unassuming questions show that you’re interested in them, and also that you’re tuned in to what they want and need from you that day.
It is worth adding, that offering a complimentary service when encouraging clients to try something extra, like nail art or an accent nail, will encourage returning clients to automatically ask for the added treatment the next time. Offering ‘free trials’ will motivate clients to see the benefits.
